Soulo “Legato” Adjustable Straight Mute

The “Legato” Adjustable Straight Mute is the first adjustable straight mute available. It was built for players who want more control than a standard straight mute can offer, especially when the music demands a softer, more lyrical sound.

The Legato keeps the core Soulo priorities intact. It plays in tune, it feels comfortable and efficient, and it produces a centered, professional sound that blends easily. It is designed to respond quickly at low dynamics without getting thin or unstable.

What makes the Legato different is the adjustable black shaft. You can slide it closer to the bell or farther away to find the exact position that works best for your horn and your playing. Small adjustments let you shape the sound and feel in real time, including tone color, volume, and back pressure.

This means you can set it for a warmer, smoother character for exposed lines, or open it up for a freer feel and easier airflow. You can also add a touch more resistance when you want extra stability and focus. The result is a straight mute that you can tune to the room, the ensemble, and the moment.
